To all my nerdy (and not so nerdy) friends:
Thinking of splurging your paycheck on the latest and greatest game or system? Before you do, consider this.
I'm sure some of you have already heard about this fantastic charity, but just in case, I wanted to help get the word out. For the last three years, this group called Child's Play has been taking donations and sending video games, toys, books, etc. to children's hospitals around the globe. Using Amazon.com and PayPal you can see each hospital's wishlist (made by the children who spend months/years living at these hospitals) and purchase an item or two or ten and have it sent directly to that hospital. Or if you can't decide, you can donate a little moolah through PayPal. Brandon first told me about this last year and he can explain it better than I, so check out his blurb http://corno-obligatory.blogspot.com/ and go splurge on some kids who could really use the distraction from reality.
