so i've never seen RENT live. but i've been addicted to the soundtrack ever since I was about in 8th grade. i've gone through periods of fan-dom when i've stalked fan-sites... so i know who and what all the characters are all about, and what the different casts have looked like, ect. today i saw the movie version. i was not disappointed. the

you know, i think roger is the most complicated character in the musical, and it is hard to portray that in a movie that has no intermisson and was trying to get a PG-13 rating.

i did always get the impression that roger is very self-righteous (and i saw rent live). and as far as i can remember (i saw the musical in 10th grade), roger never returns to mimi after benny makes it look like she seduced him, not until the end anyway.

but yeah, i loved the film. i accidently sang two words at loud once hehe.

And considering the subject matter(s), I am surprised by the rating. Did they cut out all the F-bombs and raw stuff??? I may see the movie eventually, but I am glad I got to see it on stage.
