I just checked out this rather interesting software called Navicat that allows MySQL editing from your desktop. Just a simple download and then upload of a few files allows you to easily import/export, run queries, delete and alter tables, etc. It’s interesting and cool. I tested it myself because you can Download Navicat MySQL GUI Management Tool for a free trial. The trial is for thirty days and comes in a number of flavors for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux Operating Systems. There seem to be more options available for the Windows based version, but that is to be expected as Windows still holds a majority percentage of the market share in Operating Systems.

In any case it’s easy to use and even those with limited MySQL knowledge should be able to use it. If you got the $99 and wish to make managing MySQL easier, go for it. but take a moment and Download Navicat MySQL GUI Management Tool for a free 30 day trial and see how it goes
