Canon suggestion.

Those who are fond of girls' school stories and Agatha Christie will find an interesting and entertaining blend (and source-canon for fic) in Robin Stevens' "Murder Most Unladylike" trilogy: Murder Most Unladylike, Arsenic for Tea, First Class Murder. Amazon link here.

Our heroines, Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong, are a pair of thirteen-year-old boarding school girls (Daisy turns fourteen in the second book), who solve multiple murders and other, related mysteries across the span of the three novels. The series is set in the period between the two world wars. Both Agatha Christie and Angela Brazil get shout-outs. The first novel appears to be a homage to Cat Among the Pigeons, taking the path less travelled (what if the girls decide to solve the murder on their own?), while the second is a more general mystery and the third... well, I think you can guess which Christie that one salutes (and the author is quite open about it).

Be aware that depending on your market the titles may be different, so be sure you don't double-order!! Murder Most Unladylike is also published as "Murder is Bad Manners" and Arsenic for Tea appears to be the same as "Poison is Not Polite." I don't yet know what the alternative title to "First Class Murder" is.
