I thinking about road tripping somewhere fun for my 21st birthday. I want to be in Austin ON my birthday but a road trip sometime near it sounds fun and I'm long overdue for a quasi-vacation. I was thinking that Las Vegas would be fun but it doesn't really seem like my scene. I mostly want to go there because I think the drive out there would be really beautiful. I've never been out to that part of the country before. Ideally, I would go to Europe for two months and country-hop/bum around but reality just won't allow that. Maybe New Orleans would be better. It's closer and, even though I've been to Louisiana before, I've never been that far south. I'm really interested in New Mexico but I don't know if anyone would really want to go there!
It was 'labor holiday' at my co-op this past weekend which is an incredibly misleading name. Really, it just means we get to do MORE labor, which, for me, turned out to be deep cleaning the kitchen. Gross. Taos made up for it as usual with a keg of Fireman's #4 and an ice cream party with all the fixins!
I got a job last week! Rather, I got confirmation that I will be getting a job by mid-December. It's an on-campus job doing some easy officey stuff with lots of extra time to study. This is my ideal job. I've been trying to figure out how to weasel my way into one of these jobs without being in the work study program for 2+ years now! I thought it was impossible but apparently you just need to have ~*~connections~*~
For Halloween I was Spinelli from Recess, which I thought was particularly awesome but it was kind of lame having to tell everyone.
Half the people at our party hadn't seen the show so it was lost on them. I had the costume almost perfect, though. The only flaw was that my tights were black and red striped instead of red and yellow. :-(
Pat's costume was perfect! He was Paulie from the Sopranos:
We are pretty smashed here.
