Summary: Hermione takes Harry and Ron on trip to do one of her favorite muggle pastimes on a break from the horocrux hunt.

Hermione smiled. They had just destroyed the third horocrux. The trio had decided that after the next horocrux was gone they would take a break and do something fun. Hermione had asked if she could choose what it was. She was even happier because her parents had said they could join them. Ron and Harry had seen most of the people they loved at Bill and Fleur’s wedding but Hermione had yet to see her parents.
The next morning Harry, Ron and Hermione walked out of the Leaky Cauldron. There they saw Hermione’s mother and father. Ron and Harry watched as their friend ran into the arms of her parents.
“I don’t know what’s better. Not having to go to school, having a day off from running from You-Know-Who or her smile at this very moment.” Ron looked at Harry.
Harry just smiled and headed for the Granger’s car. Ron followed and they got in. They started driving for awhile and it gave a chance for the Grangers to get to know Hermione’s friends a lot better than they had before. Mr. Granger parked the car at the destination. Everyone got out and headed into the apple orchard.
Hermione grabbed one of the apple pickers and demonstrated how to use it. She giggled at the befuddled look on Ron’s face. Harry was just glad to be out in the sun with his friends and not have to think about everything. The Grangers were happy with the knowledge that their daughter would be safe with these boys.
Who would have thought that apple picking would have caused this?
