Yea, expect a lot of these kinds of posts until this is over...
Alicia said it is finally raining in Houston. She said that her boss is giving her a case of water to take over to a coworkers place since there is going to be at least 8 of them there total.
She was either going to be alone with her boss or be in a group of seven...she is choosing to stay with a larger group of people. "Comfort in numbers" I think is what its called.
She said it is in a Duplex house - which makes her feel safer than an apartment complex. She said that her car SHOULD be fine, she is parking in a empty lot that doesn't flood and has no trees or poles to fall on it.
She isn't worried at all about the flooding but she is extremely worried about tornadoes. Apparently where she is located will be on the 'dirty' side of it. Alicia has always been deathly afraid of tornadoes. Ever since we were little. She just couldn't deal with bad weather because she would be so scared about a tornado coming through in the middle of the night.
She definitely won't get any sleep tonight at all. I know I won't.
She said that she figures she will lose cell phone service tonight & she said that if she could, she'd call collect from a payphone sometime on Sunday. I hate the thought of not being able to hear from her during or immediately after the hurricane. I hate that so much.
