An update on Raschal.

Evening 26th.

I started the day by carrying Raschal's package to Thalanaar, hoping for more information. Unfortunately the recepient could only thank me for the delivery and send his wishes along that the courier was still alive. I headed back down to the hive to continue investigating a second tunnel I had noticed last night.

The nausea welled up within me when I came upon a cocoon the size and shape of a large elf. Frantically I cut away the insect-spun bindings, with one last desparate prayer that Raschal had somehow survived. Thank the Light, he was almost completely unharmed! After he caught his breath and regained some strength, we exited the hive and fought our way back to Feathermoon. The general herself was quite stunned that the Silithid, as the vile insects are called, had found their way to this forest. I am on my way to deliver a report to Darnassus, but first I need to take care of some business out here in the deserts of Tanaris. Errands for the elves have sent me all over Kalimdor, and yet this wasted area of land is one of the few places I am loathe to linger in. Justice is a shaky concept when goblins rule the land. Hopefully I will be able to gather the information I need and make a little money on the side (the goblins ARE enterprising, I'll give them that) before heading up to Darnassus to deliver my report and rejuvenate my tired limbs in the great Temple of the Moon.

I'll try to provide an update on my desert travels soon.

Until next time,

Saevire

P.S. Daryn of Rut'Theran has asked me to research some of the large turtles that roam the Hinterlands with a "Super Snapshot" device. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I used the gnomish contraption to create a few pictures of my own along the way...
