Yup, I'm home now. I've got mixed feelings about that, but we'll see how things go... As for how things went, well they went wonderfully -I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend the weekend. I was constantly busy not only doing things I love (yay climbing wall, campfire, playing with hoodlum kids, etc!) but spending real time with people I love and miss (and will likely see more often now that I'll be working more camp weekends - hooray!) The hectic-iciosity didn't leave much of a chance for my thoughts to wander too far away toward shite, which was nice... at least until bedtime when they find their way back a bit. =o\ Wanna hear something funny? I've still only gotten maybe 10 or so hours of sleep in the past four days. Crazy stuff, I know! But here I am. Wanna "wrastle"?
Tonight's overabundance of consciousness is mostly a choice, though. I have an interview for the Outdoor Recreation Associate position with Metro Parks tomorrow and need to create and turn in a flier advertising a made-up hiking trip. I'm having a tough time with this and have officially given up on trying to improve my graphics programs and/or find new ones. I'm maybe going to resort to some high-end / fancy-shmancy cut and paste action in the end, with sufficient scanning and ample amounts of clip-art of course. If that doesn't cut it (pun intended) I feel that I'll be okay because guess who called on Friday and wanted to talk about a position at their company? Wow, yeah, you're totally right... it was Christine from REI!! Damn you're good.
***I'm still catching myself thinking, and it's still not that fun, so much, quite. (Damned dirty habit that cognitive process deal is!) But hey, it's all good. One thought eventually leads to another, and before you know it I've traded in the speed an orange travels to the surface of a chlorinated pool from 9' (approximately 1' per second) for verses from Dr. Seuss' masterpiece, Oh the Places You'll Go! (I'm rooting for California first, personally.) "Speaking of salmon"-->I love what's coming up in my world, and I'm stoked. And yes, it's okay to be jealous.
Also, kayaking soon.

Haha! It's funny 'cause it's true... Dumbhead.
