Of booooots & spring cleaning
Yay! I gots mah new boooots! They will most certainly be worn tonight. Oh yes, they will...
More "yay stuff": Tomorrow, I'll be getting a few black slices put into my hair. A new look always lifts my mood. I can't wait to see how this will pan out. As much as I still love my red hair, I miss having it black sometimes - I get the best of both worlds. Just need to make sure my stylist doesn't get too crazy because academia, while more relaxed than corporate, still has standards. A few slices of black should be fine though.
I mentioned it to my associate director in passing and she thinks it'll look cool!
But with "yay stuff" come the "aw, crap" stuff - balance is inevitable, ya know. I will be doing my spring cleaning early this year, only because I kind of have to. So I will be giving our digs a good scrubbing this weekend. I resolutely *hate* cleaning - I do it, but dear gods, it really grinds my gears. James has promised to help in this area, though - hopefully that will still hold true when the deed needs to be done.
However, new boots are good. New boots are *always* good.
No more using a black sharpie or depending on a dark club to disguise old down-in-the-heel boots.
