I remember I had a college boyfriend, and once after 2 years of dating we figured out that we have different opinion on when we became a couple. My date was like 2 months earlier. So he still thought he is just seeing me, but I am not his exclusive girlfriend for 2 months longer than I did.
And the question:
When you meet someone and start seeing each other, when is usually the point when you consider this exclusive relationship, so you think about this person as your bf/gf?
