Saera closed the curtains on the bright sun outside, curling up in her bed - and it was a good thing for her sleep schedule the city had such heavy curtains; she could completely shut out the rest of the world

Carson looked over to see David helping his sister in. He came over, looking quite frazzled. "Take a chair, lad. I'll help her inta bed. Looks like we've a strange flu-like thing going around. You might want to get checked out, just in case. Saera? Come, sit over here and tell me what's going on with you."
Saera slides into the bed, glad to lose the pretense at being able to stand. The hall had been cool, but here in the infirmary, it's still normal room temperature - unbearably hot, again.
"I'm...dizzy...I was fine when I went to bed this morning, but I woke up, the temperature in my room was low, I got out to the hall and it was far too hot...David says I've got a fever..." She collapses back against the pillows, and the temperature in the room drops, fluctuating briefly before settling, slightly cooler than it had been in the hall.
He frowned while taking her vitals. "Hm. Same as the others that have been in today." Carson noticed the temperature in the room dropping a little and just raised an eyebrow. Apparently Atlantis was trying to help. "Right then. Where have you been and what have you been doing for the past few days? Maybe I can find a common denominator somewhere."
She shrugged, more comfortable now that the room had cooled. "I've been...around...a few offworld missions, but they were quick and easy, safe planets, we'd been there before...you checked me out after them, so I was here...the mess hall, of course, my quarters, Katie and Laura's quarters...I stopped by the chem lab for a few minutes the other day..." She stops, a worrying thought occurring to her. "If this is contagious by any normal means, then Katie and Laura have it too, pretty much guaranteed...I came straight from their room to mine this morning, and I was already feeling a bit too warm by the time I fell asleep, I'm pretty sure..."
Carson smiled, it wasn't his place to comment on relationships. It was just vaguely humorous how David really didn't seem to want to hear about his sister and his best friend...
"I'll have them called to come in, then, just in case. I've not seen them yet. Most of the others have been similar places. I'm afraid with the mess hall, there may not be a way to accurate figure out where this started..." He bustled around and drew the curtain. "Why don't you change into these scrubs and relax while I input your information? We'll keep you hydrated and give you something for the dizziness, but all we can do at this point is wait."
David walked that thin line between not listening to the bits about Katie and Saera at all and listening for pertinent, important imformation on his sister's condition. He fell just short of sticking his fingers in his ears when she mentioned his best friend. He hadn't listened to Carson about taking a seat outside the curtained area, so when the doctor bustled out with a command that Saera undress, he was left sitting on the end of the bed with a very ill-looking twin.
He grabbed the scrubs and began unfolding them, gesturing for Saera to undress.
"c'mon....you can barely stand up, much less d-dress yourself. I can't believe we've got another plague going on..if it's not one thing..."
he sighed softly and untangled the laces at the back of the gown.
"you can't get sick on me--you know how miserable I am when you're sick--you're so pitiful! Remember when you got the chicken pox?"
