Pairings: KyuJong/JungMin & mention of JungMin/YoungSaeng
Rating: PG for adult theme
A/N: This is what happens when I spend too much time thinking...

He found JungMin where he thought he'd be; curled up on his bed facing the wall. He wasn't making any noise, but KyuJong was sure that he wasn't asleep. Closing and locking the door behind him, he approached the bed slowly. Sitting down far enough away not to crowd him, but placed a hand on his shoulder.
"JungMin? Are you okay?" He whispered, not entirely sure why, but felt it fit the situation.
"Go away Kyu," JungMin said. His tone was deadpan, and KyuJong recoiled at the lack of emotion in his voice.
"I think it would help if you talked about it," KyuJong responded as tactfully as he could.
"No, I don't want to talk about it, and I would appreciate it if other people weren't talking about me behind my back," JungMin snarled. Obviously this was not the right time, but YoungSaeng had pushed him to to go talk to their manic friend, because no one else knew what to do.
"We-we're just worried about you," he stuttered as he slowly stood up to back away. "I'll leave you alone."
"Good, and tell the rest of them to leave me the fuck alone too," JungMin snapped, he still hadn't moved or looked in KyuJong's direction.
"If you want to talk though," he said when he reached the door, "you know where to find me." He shut the door and headed back into the living room where three others were waiting for him. Simply shaking his head and frowning before turning towards his own room.

Sometime in the night KyuJong awoke to the feeling of arms wrapping around him, and a tear stained face pressing into his chest. Instinctively he drew JungMin into his embrace, rubbing his back slowly letting the man sob loudly, for as long as he needed. It was a long time before the sobs died down, with only a hiccup every couple of seconds as he tried to breathe in deeply.
"I'm scared KyuJong," he whispered, his throat hoarse from the long amount of crying he had done. "I'm so scared and I don't know what to do."
"I know, I'm scared too," KyuJong hugged him tighter, trying to hold back his own tears, to be strong for his friend. "What did the doctor say?"
"Nothing," JungMin snorted, "he said they had to run the blood test and they would give me a call in a couple days."
"JungMin-" KyuJong started softly, but was cut off.
"I know, Kyu! I know, okay?" JungMin sat up, throwing his hands up in the air, his voice raised that KyuJong suspected that the others would undoubtedly be awoken. "I made a stupid, stupid mistake. Should have been careful, but I wasn't. It was a long time ago, why am I being punished now?" He curled up and began to sob again. KyuJong reached over and pulled him back into his arms, JungMin being pliant and let him. They lay that way for a long time, KyuJong stroking the other's hair and murmuring softly until they both drifted off to sleep.

The next day the usual boisterous house was subdued. HyunJoong had made himself scarce. Telling KyuJong that he had made an ass of himself already by trying to crack a joke; the broken plate was evidence of how well that went over. HyungJun was unsure of how to deal with JungMin's lingering depressive state and annoyingly hovered until he was shooed off by KyuJong before he was throttled. The only bright point was YoungSaeng, whose quiet but supportive presence was another shoulder for JungMin to lean on. Hours were spent, the three of them discussing what to do until JungMin drifted off to sleep again on the couch. KyuJong drew a blanket over him and motioned to YoungSaeng to follow him into the kitchen.
"Kyu..." YoungSaeng was looking at the floor, biting his lip in frustration.
"What is it?" KyuJong looked up from rummaging in the fridge, handing YoungSaeng a beer.
"Did you ever... with JungMin I mean?" He looked embarrassed bringing it up.
"No." KyuJong pulled off the cap to beer and took a long drink. He looked at YoungSaeng, brow furrowed at the other's stance and avoidance.
"Did you?" He lowered his tone and set his beer on the counter. YoungSaeng licked his lips nervously, glancing up at KyuJong for a brief second before turning to leave. Grabbing his arm and pulling him back, KyuJong looked in his eyes, "Did you??" He pressed again. Not saying anything, YoungSaeng gave a quick nod before glancing away again. "Oh shit, Saeng." KyuJong drew him into a hug, the older man was tense at first but eventually leaned into him.
"We were drunk, it was a long time ago," YoungSaeng murmured. "I don't know if he even remembers, we never talked about it."
"You need to go talk to him," KyuJong leaned back, brushing the hair from YoungSaeng's face and wiped the tears from his eyes. "We don't know anything yet, so let's not freak out, okay?" Taking a deep breath YoungSaeng nodded and looked towards the living room.
"You're right, I'll go talk to him," he gave a tight smile to KyuJong who released him, and he headed towards the couch; slowly, but determined. While KyuJong sat down at the table, face buried in his hands as he tried to keep it together.

It didn't come as a surprise to him that when he went to go to bed that night, JungMin was already curled up waiting for him. He slipped off his shirt and slid under the covers, JungMin immediately attaching himself to his side.
"YoungSaeng talked to you?" KyuJong asked lightly, rubbing his hand up and down JungMin's back.
"Yeah, he did," JungMin replied. "I... I thought it was a dream." KyuJong smirked, being with YoungSaeng would feel like a dream, wouldn't it. "But, he doesn't have anything to worry about. He was before." A wave of relief flooded through KyuJong as he gripped JungMin tightly. He felt guilty, knowing that JungMin was still in the same position. "Kyu?"
"Yes?" He murmured, pressing his cheek to JungMin's forehead.
"I don't want to die," JungMin whispered, his voice catching as he held back a sob.
"You're not going to die," KyuJong held him as tight as possible, kissing his forehead. "We'll get you the best doctors, and the best medicines and you'll live a long happy life." The tears were flowing freely down his cheeks. He would be okay.
"I'm sorry if I'm a burden to you, I just can't get through this alone," JungMin shifted his head so it was resting on KyuJong's shoulder and looked up into his eyes.
"You're not a burden, never a burden," KyuJong smiled at him, leaning down he placed a gentle kiss to JungMin's lips. When he broke off and pulled back, there was a questioning look in the other's eyes. "I love you JungMin, and I'll always be by your side, for whatever you need. You'll never be alone."
"But-" JungMin started, but KyuJong shook his head and placed a finger to his lips.
"No buts. Whatever happens, we'll get through it together," he leaned in for another kiss before settling down to sleep.
"I love you too Kyu," JungMin replied after a few minutes and KyuJong smiled as he buried deeper against him.

The next few days was torture, everyone walked around the house on pins and needles as if at any moment there would be an explosion. Every time JungMin's phone rang there were wide eyed glances and hesitations to answer. Each time though, it was something inane and not worth tying up the line. It was when everyone was out of the house except for JungMin and KyuJong that the call came in, JungMin answering throwing a quick glance to KyuJong before taking a seat on the couch. There were a lot of 'uh huhs' and 'I see' and JungMin nodding even though no one but KyuJong could see. Wringing his hands anxiously KyuJong paced back and forth in front of the television. All the plans they had made, what they would do if this happened, if that happened, if he really was sick. Everything was flooding KyuJong's mind at once, the agony of not knowing, not hearing what was being said. Why was it taking so long? Yes or no, what else was there to say? Please God... the words were on repeat in his mind, a silent prayer, please let him be okay.
"Okay, thank you," JungMin hung up the phone and set it next to him on the couch, his hands coming up to cover his face as he leaned forward with elbows propped up on knees. KyuJong stopped in mid-stride and stared, No...
"JungMin? What did he say?" He started to move forward when JungMin's head came up, a brilliant smile plastered on his face and he launched himself off of the couch, tackling KyuJong to the floor.
"I'm okay!" He nearly crowed with delight in between the kisses he was administering all over KyuJong's face. They clung to each other and rolled around on the floor laughing. KyuJong rolled him onto his back and pinned him to the floor, pointing a finger at his nose.
"Don't you ever be that stupid again, do you understand me? If you do, I'll kill you myself," he admonished, the tension was beginning to release from his shoulders and shouting at JungMin was the second best form of release.
"Never, ever, ever again," JungMin held up his hand like he was swearing to that promise, still grinning like a maniac. Their lips crashed together again until JungMin broke it off, shoving KyuJong an arms length away. "Not as long as I've got you." He beamed, and KyuJong couldn't help but be drawn into that smile.
"Okay."
