Despite the fact that only one person on my lj reads my writing, I continually talk about it. But that's just because it occasionally constitutes what is going on in my life, and so I feel the need to share. I don't have a journal devoted to my writing, so I have to put it here.
Four stories at one time is a bad idea. That's a universally acknowledged fact, especially when you're a person who can barely focus on one story at a time. I stated a couple of weeks ago that I was not taking any of the stories offline.
I was lying.
So here's the deal: "Emilie's Dream" is picking up speed (in the sense that I update it about once every three weeks, and usually at least one update can be expected after a school vacation of some kind). So that one's definitely staying. This is also the fifth time it's been reposted now, so I think it deserves to stay after all that.
"On With the Show" (for the "Tribe" message board) is staying. The only reason it is staying is because I know there are at least three people intending to read it when I actually get responsible and put up the second chapter. And because I've already started working on the character descriptions. (In a fit of stupidity, I managed to sit down over break and choose a name for each of the eight characters, and then leave it at home when I returned to college. I can now only remember six of the eight names, five of them because they're in the introduction that I saved on the computer.) :)
"What Are the Chances?" and "Megan" are going temporarily offline at the end of the week. I will repost one when I finish "On With the Show", and the other when that is finished. Note that I did not say that I will post the other when "Emilie's Dream" is finished. "Emilie's Dream" will probably never be finished. It's an epic. It has nine seasons. I will probably be working on it for years. Sadly, I'm not exaggerating.
So for all who are interested, that is the status of Sarah's Writing Projects. Do not mourn the disappearance of "Chances" and "Megan"- they will be up again eventually. I just can't focus on four stories at once, and these are the two that I haven't made any progress at all on since winter break. So they have to go. :(
