Aah, break...
And here's me at home, completely ready for a solid month of relaxing and hanging out. I'm getting so excited about Christmas. It's my favorite holiday, and our house looks beautiful in all its decorated-ness. I'm also excited to see my friends from home. Like Jess- can't wait to see you, and you know you want to come to SMCM next year! (Although I definitely won't hold it against you if you choose Oberlin over our little school!)
Hey SMCM people- is our email down for some reason? Did we get an email about that, and I just skipped over it? Because I can't get into my account...it's annoying me. But at least I checked lj for the first time in a couple of days.
Saw "Narnia" last Friday, and I really liked it a lot. I practically grew up on the BBC version from 1988, so I expected myself to be very critical of the new version. But I had almost no complaints. I've also decided that I heart the new Tumnus. He is so much better than the BBC version's Tumnus- and I liked that one a lot, so I'm really saying something here! I'm going to be seeing a lot of movies over break. Our original plan was to see "Brokeback Mountain" this Friday, "King Kong" next week, and "The Producers" the week after that. But the closest "Brokeback Mountain" is playing to Gaithersburg is Bethesda. Now that's not an insanely long distance, but it's just much more inconvenient than if it were playing in Gaithersburg or Germantown. We think it might just be in select theaters for now, and it'll come to more places later. In that case, we'll just see "King Kong" this week and swap the movies around to a different order. But if the movie isn't coming out in any more locations, we'll go the distance and see it. It looks really good, so I'm excited.
