Comic Con weekend.

I really wanted to remember the feelings and events of this weekend so I figured the best way to do that was writing about them.

I went to Comic Con this weekend and it was absolutely amazing. Got to see Lou Ferrigno,Kevin Sorbo, William Shatner, and the guys from Boondocks Saints. Unfortunately we didn't get to many Q&A's because it was packed and even just a autograph or a picture was anywhere from 40 to 80 bucks. But there were So many amazing people, actors, and artist. They even had a Chewbaccas Parade (For those of you not in the south that's a play off of a Mardi Gras Parade called Baccas) that wheeled around on bicycles with a giant R2-D2, a Twi'leck, and a x-wing fighter. So much pretty Jewelry and amazing hand crafted things. Both me and and my s/o managed not to buy much. Though he did get me a pretty hair clip.

Even more amazing than the con though was my boyfriend. With everything that has been whirling around in my life the past month I've been stressed out a lot lately. He normally tries to help but this weekend he went above and beyond. I can't even begin to go into detail or I would be typing out pages upon pages, but besides an enormous amount of talking with him gently pulling out all the things I've been worried about and helping me talk through them, he just heaped an enormous amount of attention and affection. Not only to help boost my self esteem but to put into my head once again of how amazing he really things I am.

We took the street trolly just because I wanted to and I never had. We had amazing food the entire time. The hotel we stayed at was pretty awesome for the low price. Went to a amazing Lebanese place several times and shared a hooka. That was amazing. And I finally got to see the belly dancer there. She was gorgeous and I couldn't understand why the people at the bar and at the tables wouldn't look at her. I couldn't pull my eyes away. She was very very good and it was obvious she enjoyed the attention.

And one of the major things that happened was I went to a gay bar called the Country Club. I call it a bar but it's a bunch of things. There is a restaurant up front and a small bar in the back. And ALL the way in the back is a heated pool, a hot tub, and a sauna. Cloths are optional. My s/o of course happily stripped out of his cloths. I was nervous at first just wearing some running shorts and a bra, but after seeing several people naked I actually worked up the courage to take my top off. And we spent several hours migrating between the pool and the hot tub before relaxing in the sauna for a while. I did feel self conscious, but at the same time it felt really good as well. Met a really funny cat there as well. Thought he wanted water because he kept sticking his face in my gin and tonic, not quite drinking it but never leaving it alone. I thought he wanted water but when my s/o got a glass of water it never touched it again.

so if tl;dr: Had an amazing weekend. Comic Con was amazing. My boyfriend was even more amazing.

s/o, gay, life, good day
