Yesterday while practicing dialogue for my oral exam for Japanese, I met the most interesting person. I was practicing with my partner who knows quite a bit of the exchange students at school. So while we were practicing a whole group of exchange students passed us and began talking with her. One of the exchange students is part of the Japanese club I joined. He introduced himself in English and for some reason I kept thinking his accent was a little unusual for a Japanese person. I was talking to him for a few minutes then my partner asks "Do you find anything unusual about his accent." I was still puzzled and I guess she knew because she said "His accent is British isnt it?". The guy is from Japan, but has a British accent. Something about studying in Kuwait and in England, thats how he got it. And when he speaks in Japanese, there is not a single hint of his British English accent. I found it so interesting. But yea for the family fair Im taking care of the Kingyo Sukui booth with him and this other exchange student. Sensei dubbed them Kingyo Sukui no Ojisan. XD Itll be interesting.
