So, I took some written notes in Poetry today (Which, oops, isn't with Stumpf. It's with a new professor named Kate Schapira She seems...interesting, but in a good way. I think we'll get along.). Somehow, seemed better than actually sitting there with my laptop. I pulled out one of my new moleskine notebooks, and started writing things that came to mind - including any ideas for poems and/or short story snippets.
Here's what came out
“Stay silent - don't ask me about this. It's personal, even though you noticed.”
“Bullets striking a wall that I hide behind. Iraqui clone troopers? Trapped. Heavy Air, dense everything, drowning in sand.”
“Listen to my words, child of flame. Feel the shape of the sounds and be burnt by their edges.”
Somehow, that little notebook feels a lot more...right...than taking notes in a notebook. It feels more natural, like it's actually facilitating my thoughts. I'll have to use em more and see how it turns out.
Also, I need pens. Minor note, but essential.
