I want to know what happened. Don't get me wrong I can be guilty of this to...but when did sex lose its meaning. When did it just become something you can do with strangers and noone care? I'm talking to someone and they just broke off their engagement...and they want sex with a stranger. That will not help you get over it. You should morn

This sorta goes back to my dislike of humanity in general. There's more that goes into this, but basically whomever you had this conversation with is doing something fairly normal from a given standpoint

As a slight counterpoint, though, to my earlier post...

It IS good that society is more open about sex and sexuality. That is a very good thing on many standpoints that I won't go into right now.
The problem, I think, lies in that we've objectified it, made it largely impersonal and ego-driven. There's nothing particularly wrong with casual sex - though it's definitely not something that I'm interested in for myself - but as a widespread cultural element, I think it degrades us all to some degree.
