Are you planning to shape/felt the hair in any way or are you trying to project loose hair at speed? Can the hair be wet?

wet or dry, doesn't matter. as long as it's projected.

compressed air is the first thing that comes to mind. Though that may create more of a "hair cloud" than a hair projectile.

disagree - you should absolutely attend the idiotarod. just dress in a full-body protective suit, which you can then strip and discard.

I think we're going with hair firecrackers, as hair projectiles are bit too challenging.
