(no subject)
Yesterday I get home from the grocery store and mom tells me Stephanie my neighbor (whose dogs I take care of and babysit occasionally) needs me to babysit Monday night from 5:30 to 8:30. I'm like yeah sure cause well I can and I could use the extra cash. I'm thinking two kids that I normally babysit realitively easy.
I call her leave a message and around 8:00 she calls me back with the details. It would be at the house 3 doors down from my house because they were going too and I would be babysitting 4 kids from 10 to about 5/6 years old. Mmk not so bad again. I would have to get there before 5:15 so they could leave at that time. I get off work at 4:40 (I take a 30 minute lunch so I can leave early) because I'm busy helping someone out that day so I'm really tired but thanks to an energy drink I'm all good. So I'm rushing to get home but got to get gas cause it's really low I rush home eat a real quick dinner that mom got me (two chick fil a strips cause I'm not hungry) and I walk down at 5:10 and meet with the next door kids to walk with them to the house.
I play with the kids outside after the parents leave, around 6:15 I fix them soup and grilled cheese sandwiches afterwards let them watch tv while I clean the pot and pans (cause of how they wanted me to fix it) put the dishes in the dishwasher, pop in a movie based on the home mom's suggestions, let them eat popcorn, etc. Make the home kids go to bed at 8:30 like instructed, make sure they're in the bed, etc. Go downstairs to hang out with the other kids and make them be quiet while they watch tv.
So around 9:10 the parents finally show up and the home mom pays me with a check. I check the check when I get home and it's only 35 dollars. OKay I know I shouldn't be complaining but...really? You have probably the most expensive house in the neighborhood, did all this work are the only ones in the place that have a pool (cause y'all put it in yourselves) and that's all you give me? 4 kids 4 hours at 8.75? REALLY?
Mmk I'm done complaining. For now. SO Elan's not going to be babysitting those 4 kids anymore.
