omg, I was watching martha stewart today while eating lunch, and she was brining a turkey so I called DYA in to watch it with me! I was explaining why it would be a good idea and how it could be done with the giant ziploc bags we already have in the house. I haven't specifically done a brine for turkey, but I often do it for pork and chicken.

i know! i was going to say the same thing.

i think i should try brining it. i'm so scared of cooking this turkey. i mean, i understand that my mantra is all about facing fears this year, but does it really extend to poultry? i probably should order a turkey too. isn't that what people do so they don't end up with the only turkey that's left over (otherwise know as the enormous turkey).

i am all about bringing a backup ham. or just ham on the side, to accompany your delicious delicious turkey!

haha! you're lucky i love you or i would be offended by that back-up plan. instead it's easing my worry a little bit.

the bird will be delicious! i have no doubt... we could also stuff the Turkey with ham? or a chick-fil-a sandwich?
