Three weeks in...

And I'm still getting worse every day. I mentioned my problem in my last post if anyone's curious, but the rest of this is just ranting, so read only if you want to hear a long-winded entry about what's been going on.

got a diagnosis of "idiopathic neuropathy", eh? (translated to english: "nerve problems for no discernible reason".) could any of the specialists hear the grinding sound, or were they not even interested in that?

that sucks. i'm sorry your body seems to be betraying you.

No one has been able to find out about the grinding sound, except for the heat sensor the neck chiropractor did that picked up a high reading of heat in the affected area. I've done online research too and keep getting neuropathy of some sort, but my neurologist doesn't think so. It's hard because I don't know what to believe anymore.

Yeah, a friend of mine had unexplained headaches for so long that she started to think she was going crazy. Turns out she had hit her head on the side of the pool while swimming months earlier, and her problems stemmed from an undiagnosed hairline fracture.

Hopefully your problem gets defined or goes away before you start doubting your sanity too much. :(

Do heat (or alternately, cold) make any difference?

I've tried some ice and heat, but it hasn't seemed to help much... How did your friend eventually solve hers?

The fracture showed up on an x-ray when they finally took one, and she had chiro, massage, and pt once they knew where the problem was.

I've had x-rays of my neck but they didn't see anything, that's the problem... In fact that's the main issue is that no one so far seems to be able to see anything wrong. Hmm, I wonder if having them do a more precise x-ray of that specific area would help, I may have to ask. I don't know, I'm still on this seemingly neverending quest to find out what's wrong. Thanks for your comments though. I'm just frustrated beyond belief after dealing with this for over three weeks. :(
