Summary: Why Mir isn't allowed to be in the dorm by himself
It was a well known fact that Mir wasn't allowed to be left in the dorm without any supervision, especially after that one time, where the rest of the member's came home and found the dorm filled with stray animals, cats and dogs alike. So after that, they had come to a group consensus that there would always be someone to supervise the younger boy. With an eased mind, G.O. took his time, picking out the best ingredients for the dishes he planned on making tonight. He unlocked the front door, walking into the dorm apartment, eyes bulging wide in shock, the last thing he was expecting to see was a frantic Mir, trying to put out a fiery (what use to be white) burnt pot with a bowl filled to the brims with water and not one person in sight to help him.
G.O. dropped the bags of grocery that he was holding, no longer caring about the hand picked veggies, he immediately rushed over to the younger boy's side, pulling the other away to a safer location before reaching over to grab the fire extinguisher. After popping off the top, he walked back toward the fire, keeping a safe distance as he sprayed the white substance at the base of the pot, quickly putting an end to the flame.
Whilst all this was happening, Mir stood off to the side, watching everything with a pouty expression, he didn't know how this could have gone so wrong, he followed the directions and everything, but now.......everything was ruined. His first attempt at cooking was pretty disappointing.
Once G.O. was sure the fire was out, pot and stove covered with layers of white, he fanned some of the smoke away before he placed the red object on the floor. Sighing deeply, he turned around and walked back towards the red head, immediately checking Mir for any injuries, face full of worry and concern "Are you hurt anywhere? Do you need to see a doctor or something?"
Mir slowly shook his head, patting himself down to see if anywhere hurt, but he didn't feel any pain. "Uh…. No?"
"No?" After double checking to make sure, G.O. then narrowed his eyes, glaring at the boy, "Then can you explain to me what the hell is going on? And where is Joon, it is his turn to watch you today.."
A small pout slowly formed on his lip, he really shouldn't be getting yelled at, here he was, doing something nice for G.O., and the other didn't even appreciate it. And Joon was definitely going to be mad at him if he got in trouble as well, he had ushered the other out of the house, with promises that things were going to go smoothly. Well it didn't, if G.O. hadn't come home, Mir really wasn't sure what he was going to do.
Mir bit his lip, staring at G.O., seeing this, the older boy turned away, trying to resist the magnae’s puppy eyes, “No Mir.. this is serious... you could have gotten yourself hurt.” G.O. kept mentally reminding himself that he had to be strong, he couldn’t always give into the younger boy, that’ll only spoil him more, leading to more messes like this in the future.
Seeing that the older boy was avoiding his eyes, Mir reached over, tugging the sleeve of the other’s shirt, softly whispering the other’s real name, “Byung Hee..... are you really mad at me?”
Finally looking at Mir, G.O. sighed deeply before shaking his head. Who could really stay mad at the other honestly, Mir had this gift of being able to do the stupidest thing in the world yet still manages to get forgiven for it, and when he said stupidest, he really did mean stupidest. Oh if only the world saw Mir through MBLAQ’s eyes.
Still unsure, the young boy wrapped his arms around G.O., snuggling his face against the other older’s one chest, pouting, “I didn’t mean to start a fire... “
G.O. automatically wrapped his arms around Mir, in a tight, comforting hug, “I know you didn’t so just explain to me what you were doing okay?”
Mir shook his head, slightly embarrassed with his failure now, “Uh...i-it’s not even important anymore so who cares....”
G.O. frowned at the other’s reaction, “No Mir, seriously, tell me what happened, you barely ever try to cook. You always tell one of us to do it.. so why all of a sudden...?”
A tint of pink flushed on Mir’s face, he would of been okay with bragging about his successful meal that he made only for G.O., saying he had no help at all if it had actually been successful. He really didn’t think things would turned out as badly as it did, he really didn’t want to explain what happened, but he knew G.O. wasn’t going to let it go, if he didn’t confess now, all of MBLAQ would find out and pester him until he blabbed. At least only telling G.O., there would be a chance that it’ll be kept a secret, a very small chance.
Head still buried against the other’s chest, Mir muttered a string of words, not one did G.O. catch. Pulling away slightly, the older boy stared down, face filled with confusion, “What?”
Mir sighed deeply, a hue of pink still tinted on his cheeks, looking away, he answered once more “I know you are going to think of me as a little girl for doing this but I wanted to surprise you with dinner for our one month anniversary. You always cook for me so I wanted to do it for you for once, so you could relax... but I didn’t think cooking something so simple would be so hard..- ”
A soft smile rose on G.O.’s lips, he didn’t think the other would remember minor things like that, Mir had enough problem remembering their schedules and birthdays, so he felt really touched that the other knew something so insignificant yet significant in their relationship. Not even letting the young boy finish explaining, he cupped both hands on Mir’s cheek, tilting his head to face him before pressing their lips together.
Being silenced by the other’s lip, Mir smiled into the kiss before slowly pulling away, arms still wrapped around the other. “Happy One Month Anniversary.”
G.O. returned the smile, staring at the other as he pulled the younger boy in a tighter hug, “Happy One Month Anniversary.”
G.O. really couldn’t believe that they’ve been going out for a month already, it seemed like just yesterday, he was being a bubbling idiot, asking Mir out on a date, his own magnae for christ sakes. He remembered Mir joking about only dating G.O. if he shaved his face, honestly, he considered it for a second, before Mir burst out laughing, saying he was just kidding. That laugh, that personality, everything about Mir was amazing to him. He slowly pulled away from the other, remembering about the grocery bags that were carelessly dropped onto the floor earlier.
Frowning that the other was getting away, Mir jumped onto G.O.’s back, laughing as he wrapped his arms tightly around the other before leaning forward, playfully kissing the other’s cheek. “Trying to run away already?”
G.O. forced himself not to roll his eyes, because that wasn’t a manly thing to do, instead, he held onto Mir’s leg tightly, making sure the other wouldn’t fall as he walked. “No, I still have to cook dinner, you may have TRIED to, but I still need to make the real thing.” After walking back to the door, carefully grabbing the grocery while Mir was still on his back.
“Hey, that reminds me, what did you get me for our one month anniversary?”
G.O.’s eyes widened. CRAP. This was going to be a long month.
