Title: Marriage
Pairing/Group: Ryo/Uchi
Summary: Uchi thinks about marriage
Staring at the picture, Uchi smiled. His mother was dressed in the traditional ceremonial kimono, kneeling next to his father. It was their wedding day. Twenty three years ago. Both of them were smiling happily, their marriage was out of love. And for those that knew, there was actually three people in the picture. Hiroki was in his mother's stomach at the time. Aside from her glow, which she could pass off as happiness, there wasn't that many other clues either.
Sighing softly, Hiroki slid his finger back and forth against the glass protecting the picture. Marriage, of course it was something he had always wanted. To have a beautiful wife and kids of his own. But the truth is, that'll probably never happen for him. It's something he knew he had to give up if him and Ryo were to be together. At the time, of course it was easy choice. They were young and nothing else mattered but each other. But with each passing year, Uchi couldn't help but look around him, watching as all his friends marry and started families of their own while him and Ryo lived in secrecy.
It was hard. To lie to his family, to his friends, to the whole world who he truly was. There were days where he just wanted to stop caring and just did what he wanted. But truth be told, he was scared. He wasn't young anymore. He wasn't going to be forgiven again and he doesn't think he's strong enough to be shunned from society one more. The feeling from the first time still haunted him. It's easy to say who cares, all that mattered was him and Ryo, but real life was nothing like that. Hiroki knew what life was like outside of the entertainment world. And he fought his hardest to be back in it.
Hearing his phone beep, he carefully placed the picture to the side and grabbed the tiny mobile. Ryo-chan. What's for dinner?
Smiling softly, Hiroki texted back before going back into the kitchen to check on the curry. Maybe one day he'll be strong enough to fight for their love.
