Ryo glanced over to his boyfriend, pretending he was paying attention to movie. He saw Kame smile as 2 kids playing with each other.
“Baby, when were you happiest as a kid?”
Kame’s perfectly shaped eyebrows arched up. Wondering why Ryo would ask such a random question.
“Kazu! Race you to the park!”
Kame ran as fast as his legs could take him, but Jin still reached the park before him.
“Yeah. I win!”
“No fair.” Kame started to pout mumbling how he only lost because Jin had a head start.
“Come on Kazu. I’ll push you on the swings. Okay?”
Kame nodded his head and sat on the swings. Slowly and slowly, Kame got higher as Jin pushed harder. As Kame got higher he closed his eyes and he felt like he could fly.
“Jin, higher! I feel like I’m flying!” Kame laughed as he screams those words to Jin. Jin just smiled and jumped into the swing next to Kame. He easily reached Kame’s height, and when they were going at the same pace, he grabbed Kame’s hand.
Shocked Kame felt another hand grabbed his but he grabbed back knowing it was Jin.
“Friends forever neh Kazu?”
“Forever”
“Baby?”
“Haha, sorry. Before everything got so complicated between Jin and me. After rehearsals we use to go to this park and just sit on the swings and just talk. It use to be so simple, and at the end of the night we would always say the same things. We never said ‘goodbye’ but friends forever. And that use to make me so happy.”
Kame smiled as he remembered the past and looked over at Ryo to see if he understood his feelings.
Ryo just listened. Especially about Kame talking about his past and his childhood to him. His boyfriend rarely chose to talk about those things. Yea he has known Kame for a while, been friends for a while but there was so much more he wanted to know about the younger boy. But he just wishes everything didn’t always tie back to Jin.
“That sounds like a great memory.”
“Yea it is.”
“Maybe we can go there sometime neh?”
“Maybe. Now get your lazy butt off the couch so we can go to sleep neh.”
“No”
“Come on babe, I’m tired”
“Kiss me first”
“You big baby”
Kame smiled and bent down to give Ryo a quick peck on the lips.
“That’s all I get?”
“Meet me in the room and maybe you’ll get more.”
Kame walked to the room slowly and seductively.
“Coming”

Throughout the years, things are no longer the same for Jin and Kame. They grew up and grew apart. But it all started with Nobuta. Overnight the walks to the parks stopped and Kazu became Kamenashi.
Their relationship ended just like that. No matter what Kame did, and what Kame said, meant nothing to Jin. And in the end Kame stopped trying.
It was rough at first but Kame learnt to deal with it. And after Jin came back from L.A. he became more civil towards Kame. And that is all they are now.
Kame was packing his things, getting ready to go home. Rehearsal was tiring today. And he just wanted to sleep.
“Kame, are you busy?”
“Yea he is.” Jin then grabbed Kame’s bag and basically dragged him out.
“Um, sorry Akanashi. Did we have plans?”
“No sorry. But I wanted to talk to you about something.”
“Okay.”
They walked out of the building. Kame awkwardly walked slightly behind Jin on a very familiar path. Within minutes a park came into view.
“It use to take us so much longer to walk here huh?”
“Jin, why are we here?”
“Kazu, I miss us.”
“What part of us do you actually miss Jin? The us as kids, or the us as lovers?”
“All of it. I just want us to be how we use to be. Before Nobuta, when it was just me and you. And all we needed were each other.”
Kame sighed and slowly walked to the swings.
“Ne Jin, come sit next to me on the swings.”
“Don’t you want me to push you?”
“No, I learnt how to make myself go higher. Jin, we can never go back to being kids or lovers.”
“Do you love him?”
“Yea I do Jin.”
“More than you loved me?”
“No Jin. I loved you with all I had then. And I still love you know even though things are kind of strained between us because that love never dies Jin. But with Ryo, I can’t love him with everything because of the love I had for you. But it doesn’t mean I love him any less. It just means that my heart got bigger because I got to love you, and now I get to love Ryo.”
Kame glanced at the man next to him. And he finally sees the boy he grew up with.
“Jin?”
“Hmm?”
“Friends forever?”
“Forever.” Jin says smiling. Silently thanking Ryo for giving him this chance.
“Fat Jin. Can you take Kame somewhere tonight? I have to set something up in our house?”
“Why would I want to hang out with your boyfriend? Get someone else.”
“Because Fatass, you are his happiest childhood memory.”

“Baby, I’m home.”
“Come to the backyard!”
Kame frowned wondering what could be so interesting in the backyard. As Kame slowly walk toward the backyard he was shocked. Hanging on their giant oak tree was a handmade swing big enough just to fit 2.
“Like it?” Ryo nervously asked. Not that he should be. Kame should be happy he put this much effort into this.
“I- I don’t know what to say Ryo. I mean like it? I absolutely love it!” He ran toward Ryo and hugged him.
“Of course you do. Come on, let’s go sit in it.” Ryo pulled the younger boy slightly towards the swing.”
“Is it safe? To sit on?”
“Of course, I made it after all. Now go sit in it while I push you.”
“No, I know how to push myself. I want you to sit on it with me.”
“Okay.”
“Ryo, why?”
“I just wanted give you something that made you happiest as a kid. I won’t give you to Jin because you belong to me. So I chose the next closest thing in your memory.”
Kame smiled as Ryo explained.
“Babe, Jin made me happiest as a kid. But you make me happiest now.”
