Involuntarily the tears are still shed,
though we continue to forge ahead.
Black hair, hand-in-hand with mine, glistening smile,
I wish I could walk a mile…
to see you safely resting,
along the tranquil paths of healing…
Would make my heart glad,
to think that you are well.
Missing you so much,
All the time, without you, the pain flares up…
But learn to move on through the heartache,
To soothe the hurts and mend thy spirits.
Forever ours,
Never to let go…
Memories last a lifetime,
warming me up again when I feel cold and alone.
For I’ve been blessed and lucky to have had you in my life….
Some things will never be lost,
And while I transcend into the dream world,
I will meet you once again.
