The first one should be to lose weight but let's face it, I am not going to be able to give up food because
a) I love food
b) I'm an emotional eater and
c) My parents don't buy healthy food and sometimes they don't even buy enough food for a week so I have to binge eat (eat too much at dinner and hardly anything the rest of the day)
and I can't exercise because I have an umbilical hernia from being pregnant and carrying Leila too low too soon and too often.
So this is what I'm gonna do instead...
1. Stop cussing.
Fat chance, right?
Everyone knows Melissa's favorite words and phrases are or involve cussing.
Well I am working on it already.
When I am angry, oh boy, do I say the F word!
Whether it's just "WTF" or random F bombs throw into every sentence.
Sometimes just being funny I overuse the F word. For example,
"Yippee ki-yay, Motherfucker."
"What the crap" and "What the gay" sometimes don't feel any better.
I am going to try to start saying "What the frenchtoast"
"OMG" is a big one.
Please, If you hear or see me saying/typing this one hit me/yell at me/tell me not to say that!
When in competitive mode instead of saying "In your fucking face motherfucker." I will simply say "Boom City" from now on.
2. I am going to work on my attitude.
As I said before when I get angry I drop F bombs.
I also hit. A lot.
I get extremely frustrated at the drop of a hat and go off on anyone and everyone.
Leila is developing a temper. Not just because of me, also because she is at the age.
But I need to set a good example.
Plus I'm afraid I'll get an aneurysm if I stress out too much.
So I need to work on channeling my energy into something more positive.
3. Do something(fun)that I normally wouldn't do, once a month.
Once a month, every month, all year I want to do something exciting, outrageous, dangerous, not melissaish.
Some of it might be things normal people do without thinking it's a big deal like going on a boat, swimming in the ocean, going on a roller coaster.
I'm seriously afraid of these things. I don't go more than knee deep in the ocean, I've been on a big boat once when I was like 8 and I never wanted to again. And I've never even been on a roller coaster.
I'll make a list eventually. It probably won't be of everything because I want some of the things to be spontaneous.
I might need some help with the list and definitely with doing these things.
4.I want to learn Japanese.
Yeah that one is a good bit different than the other two.
I already know how to say a few things. But I want to be able to hold a conversation, at least a small one.
I have a couple others but they are religious and I feel like that kind of stuff should be kept private.
