Oh, also, they're called Pokémon. Actually they're nothing like a chimera at all. At least, not that I've seen.

...I've heard them referred to as Pokémon. [That doesn't mean he's willing to call them that, though. It's easier to think of them as chimeras.]

[Danny gives an exaggerated sigh.] Look, bats are mostly blind, right? Consider Zubat a bat. They squeak like that because their hearing is awesome, okay? So the squeak bounces off stuff around them, like you, the trees, the ground, and other Pokémon. They hear that, and then they know where their position is. It's like sono-radar.
