This week. It's been an extremely busy week. Fortunately my ...assistant has kept out of my way for the most point. I really must speak with my employer about that idea of his at some point. Perhaps I can arrange a meeting next week. I have found this pen useful in keeping some notes, but not all as some things should never risk being read.
My clinic is open from sunrise to sunset all days but Sunday, I can treat most maladies, and it is good that people have been coming, there has been a rash of heat related issues. As well as a cough in some of the younger children, which is simply viral and will go away with rest and fluids. A nice mix of healing herbs and vegetables is the best bet. Grubs can add protein too if it is lacking.
I am still considering what to do with my strange delivery. For now, it is kept in a guest room until I can determine a purpose.Thus far it has not been troublesome or interrupted work.
Things learned thus far from the dissection of subject FA972
-Fish Type Anima- Female
-Does not successfully breathe under water any longer than a normal human on average. Perhaps it is a species or individual issue. Further Fish data is needed.
-Cutting one of the gill type markings on the subject throat did not seem to reduce subject's Anima-ness. Perhaps the tattoos are an outward manifestation of an internal malady?
-Post mortem: Internal organs appear largely normal save for the enlarged lung tissue and discovery of what may either be an infection or possibly the formation of a swim bladder to help the subject remain at the bottom of a body of water, further investigation will be needed.. I am awaiting the results of a toxicology screening and blood workups. The scale-like protrusions that occurred when the subject partially transformed are very similar to that of a trout but not completely formed and seem to almost spring from beneath the skin.
Conclusion: No new data at this time. May see if she tastes like fish to the Cat Anima I am stuck with. The Rodent one is apparently vegetarian.
There is still no further information at this time on the quill or how it functions, without getting several to test rather than using my own, I will have to remain patient.
