(no subject)

Busy busy week. Some of the outlying farms have been reporting some nasty viral infections, as well as an emergency amputation on a most unfortunate young man attempting to take up blacksmithing. I will need to take a day soon to review some paperwork and check the messages left with my assistant.

Hopefully An is in higher spirits, it has been days since she has bothered even speaking to me. I know I will eventually have to deal with these issues.

Experiment: DF9613

Subject: Donkey, Female, approximate age 39. Healthy weight, healthy vision. Patient was sedated upon arrival, asked standard questions and then euthanized for easy operation. All organs appeared healthy, good weight and firm texture. They were proper size and colors, save for the liver which indicates alcohol abuse potentially. The notches in her pelvis indicate 3 children, she only mentioned 2, leading to one possibly being killed young or stillborne. All mentioned children are on their own and normal with no signs of the anima sickness. The manifestation never occured during the questions, perhaps she had excellent control. Something I should have tested prior to ending her life.

Her marking was removed and grafted temporarily, no effect. I have retained blood samples for further testing. I am questioning the moral implications of finding a human willing to ingest the serum to see if it is a blood borne illness.

I am getting too old for this.
