Daemon is lounging in his room, engrossed in a game of solitaire. He'd welcome someone to talk to (or pounce, depending on who it is) -- or even someone to play cards with.

She's actually at SaDiablo Hall for a brief visit with others of the First Circle, so will respond to Daemon's "open post" by knocking on the door.

"... Warlord Prince?"

"Come in, Lady," he replies, stretching out in his chair.

[mostgiftedwitch]

"Thank you. You haven't been seen as of late, so I thought to inquire. Are you well?"

[sadist_daemon]

"As well as ever," he replies politely. "I've been helping Lady Marian."

[mostgiftedwitch]

She raises her eyebrows in pleasant curiosity.

"With what, if I may ask?"

[sadist_daemon]

That gets a smile out of him, if only a bit of one. "Her pregnancy. Lucivar's been away, so I'm standing in for him."

[mostgiftedwitch]

His chuckle provokes her own.

"You're a brave man... Willingly and voluntarily going near a pregnant woman who isn't your wife..."

[sadist_daemon]

"Don't think I haven't been abused for it," he says, rubbing his head. "Marian can throw books very well."

[mostgiftedwitch]

Blandly she comments...

"You could have fooled me, but I always assumed there was a reason Lucivar was so intent on teaching us to duck as well as fight. Thank you for solving my mystery..."

[sadist_daemon]

"Yes, well, Lucivar's a madman. He taught her to throw a skillet."

[mostgiftedwitch]

She desperately tries to stiffle a giggle at that comment. It's not a very successful attempt, but an attempt none the less.

"And pray tell... what caused her to demonstrate -that-, as something tells me you're not speaking from theoretical knowledge?"

[sadist_daemon]

"She was tiring herself."

[mostgiftedwitch]

"... Ah. Let me guess? You felt obligated to point this fact out?"
