We may have the beginnings of a political SNAFU on our hands, sir.
The Hyuuga kunoichi who made her way to the Great Fire Temple is none other than Hyuuga Hizashiko, Hyuuga Hiashiko's twin sister.
Right now she is a comfortable guest of T&I, in one of the lower cells sealed against Byakugan's penetrating vision. Entry to Konoha was made via one of the underground evac tunnels. The few of my people who will be responsible for her care are all subordinates I trust and who will not mention her existance.
