YOUR'E SO FRAGILE TONIGHT...

...as I looked over across the small table that held our coffees and yogurts, Kennedy looked soft and fragile and tender.  The dim light made his greens eyes soft and his sliver of a smile so endearing.  Strong as he can be, he is so fragile.

The jazz continued to play and the bass line made me feel funny inside.  I closed my eyes and let the live sound take my body over.  I bobbed my head to the beat and looked over to Kennedy again.  I rehashed the finer moments of this short weekend and fell in love with him all over again as I got a little choked up.  I reached over to touch his scruffy face.

We had a sweet little dinner on Friday even though my body cried out for rest.  We then walked over to a pumpkin patch to do something I had not done in years!!!  We picked out our own pumpkins to be carved the next day.  I got lost looking over at the families with little cute babies doing what we were doing.  A light breeze rushed us to pick and pay.

Saturday morning coffee brewed as we spent time cutting, gutting, and carving our pumpkins.  PLUS, we started our own tradition, we roasted our own pumpkin seeds and they were the best I have ever had too!!  It was lovely.

Sunday morning, we went to the skate park and we did our "thing".

We just got home from some coffee and jazz.  These are the little things that make life beautiful.

Back to the stress of work and school :(
