I'm sorry, my imaginary readers, for staying away for so long. First I was busy and enthusiastic about work. Then I was really, really sick. Then I was despondent in re: my academic obligations and figured if I was going to blow them off then I had no business writing anything more frivolous. Also, any time anything noteworthy has happened, it has left me feeling so drained that I lacked the energy to lift my fingers high enough to type at all. But, I actually managed to be semi-productive today, so I thought it was worth a post.
And that's the update. D'ya notice how I carefully skirted saying much of anything at all? Me, too. Hey, if you're in Boston tomorrow night, you should come hang out with me at Lir Pub on Boylston to watch the election results tallied up - but mostly you should come for the cracker sandwiches and Mongolian tenders that I've been promised. I'm from the (sort of) South, so the very idea of "cracker sandwiches" has me rolling in the figurative aisles. The Mongolian tenders, on the other hand, have me kinda non-plussed. Oh, as an added draw, it turns out that there will be a group of Republicans watching the results at the same pub. As long as everything goes my way, I think that will just heighten my enjoyment of the evening.
Goodnight and whatnot.
