I have to say, though, that the last is my favorite.

She died in her sleep, as she dreamed about her own life. And maybe it wasn’t as exciting as the lives she had once dreamed of, but she knew in her bones that this one had been the best. Because she was Lilly fucking Kane, and she had never settled for anything less.

How you manage to bring the crack and then smack me right in the heart, I'll never know.

Aww, thank you! her's my secret: any time I write in the Lilly voice? That's jus how i talk. I come off far more articulate online, for in my real life, I talk like a fucking Valley girl. It's a compulsion.

Well this is vaguely embarassing, but I pretty much teared up there at the end. Lilly fucking Kane is the best, no question.

My very favorite line:

Oh, she was going to fucking haunt that prick like it was her job.

Great job on the pacing--the length of each vignette really worked well. This was just Lilly, and I loved it.

Thank you so much! Yeah, the whole thing was supposed to be sort of whack and cracktastic, but I thought Lilly deserved that one nice scene at the end. Because it could have happened that way. Though, the other scenarios are far more likely.

Lilly had skipped out on the whole debutante thing, since she was firmly convinced the hypocrisy of her in a white dress would cause a schism and California would wind up in the fucking ocean or something.

Winner of the "Best Line Ever" award. Seriously, I almost died when I read that. It is so true.

Great fic...I loved that Lilly was destined to die no matter what and after all the "messed up" Lilliness I really loved reading about a life that does work out...and she still dies anyways.
