Does anyone else REALLY hate scalpers?
I forgot tickets went on sale at the end of May, and a couple days ago, I was like oh yeah! tickets!
But of course by then.. no.
I was gonna buy four, and take my dad and my brothers as a Christmas present. (Good excuse for me to go, too!)
Grrrr. So of course, the only way to get them would be to pay like a semester's worth of tuition to a resale site or somewhere like ebay. Tickets are going for hundreds of dollars for SRO, and even into the thousands for two nosebleed seats. Sigh.
I'd ask if anyone here has tickets they'd part with, but anyone in their right mind is probably GOING to the game they have tickets for:) If by some chance you do have tickets or know a season holder or anything, lemme know. I'd pay above face, of course, within reason.
But I don't hold much hope for that.
There was one auction that sounded good, a season ticket holder selling excellent seats to two different games.. but it sounds kinda sketchy and I'm not bidding. He has no feedback at all, and doesn't accept paypal, supposedly due to "high user fees" that they charge. The first auction went for $735 for four great seats, and I'd totally bid on the second one if I could pay with paypal and have their $1,000 buyer protection, just in case this guy turned out to be a fraud. But no. And ebay's buyer protection is only $175 MAXIMUM, no matter how much the auction was for. So I'd be out several hundred dollars, and that's just not something I'm willing to risk, even though I really realllllllly REALLY want those tickets. Handing over a large sum of cash is not the best time to trust a random internet salesman and his no feedback.
Sigh.
Looks like I'm not making it out this year. :(
