Rude, brain. Real rude

This was an extremely long dream. I swear it spanned from 8am - 1030am.

I was at a Stars game, looking for a place to sit. I was behind the stands, which were actually bleachers. I kept trying to look over them but couldn't see anything. I made my way around them and suddenly I was in a different stadium. It was hardly a stadium! More like a small theater. There was no rink, for one. It looked more like a gym set up (blue walls and carpeting), so my thought was, We are in Frisco and going to watch them... workout? Then the seats were all messed up and it was impossible to find my row (which was the sixth and final row) so I ended up just plopping down in a random seat. The back row was lower than the other rows, so I couldn't see anything again! To the right, a huge flat video screen came on and Joe Nieuwendyk was talking about something... "Thanks for coming out" was all I heard before I left.

Then I was in an ice rink, but I had an omniscient point of view, I guess you would call it? I was watching the Blackhawks bench from the ice -- a little bit above it. A few guys got penalties, the game went on for a second, and then two more got penalties. The sin bins were full, so they went past them and sat in the crowd, which was perfectly acceptable to everyone. Hjalmarsson sat down and some cougar said, "Hey handsome..." and then this girl sitting next to him (girlfriend, no doubt), keeps staring at him with those crazy "he's mine, back off" eyes with a smile plastered to her face. It was both creepy and annoying. The woman tried saying something else to him but this girl would block his view with her head. Then they just left.

So then I was at the very top of the rink which was ridiculously high up and there was no roof! I stood behind the last row of seats by some other people and then some guy came out to do the anthem. His voice was shaky and he repeated some lines and left out a couple as well. When he was done, I could see the sweat pouring down his face. Clearly he was not feeling well. He sat in the crowd and some guy that I presumed he was with started talking to him and I paid no more attention. The game got started, which was a Stars/Blackhawks game, I guess. I heard something happened to David Bolland, but I wasn't sure what. Out of nowhere, this ice storm blows in but we are all just standing up there watching the game. It stopped, but then this eight inch ice spear fell from the sky just a few feet away from me and this lady. You would have thought it came from a roof, but the woman looked at me and said, "That came from the sky..." Everyone panicked and rushed inside as the stadium starting making this disturbingly loud creaking/moaning sound like it was about to collapse. I was like, I'm just going to wait under this awning but there were square holes all over so THAT wasn't gonna do! Dad showed up and told me to hurry inside. We ran down this weird spiral staircase that led to a bunch of hallways which turned into a school. There were teachers leaving for the night and they had no idea what was going on. Of course one teacher had something that needed to be moved, so Dad helped. I went inside to room to wait and found a couple books that had to be put away. They were organized by category and title. I found the spot for one of them but not the other. A teacher aid told me the second book was on a special shelf kind of away from the others because they were trying to discourage children from reading it. It was a horror story but the cover art looked so cutesy.

Anyway, I put it away and then Dad and I were somewhere else, I am not sure where. It was like we were in the living room, but it was much too big and nothing resembled anything. That is when we got the news that Bolland had died. I was crushed! So was everyone else. Yeah, I think some other people were wandering around. Later, Mom walked through the door and asked if we had heard. I was too dumbstruck to answer, but Dad said yes and they went off on their own to talk about it. She didn't seem sad about it though, which was weird.

Seriously, when I woke up, the first thing I did was just Google news to make sure it was all a dream and Dave was ok!
