So, this week, me_maneuver and I drove 1,000 miles to see Panic! at the Disco in Sacramento. And it was TOTALLY WORTH IT.

If you DO want to print any of them up, just let me know which ones and I'll get you the original image files. Even the biggest size over at flickr strips out a lot of the data, and the originals would print up sharper. Stuff from M's camera should be good to at least 8x10 and the ones from mine might go poster sized before it gets muddy.

And I'm now contemplating SPENCER POSTER from my own prints, and wondering if M might think that's a deal breaker.....

PATRICK! I'm not sure if it's just that this really isn't my sort of music, or if it's just NOT WORKING in general? It all seems very well performed and put together, and he's new to the whole lyrics writing thing, so I can give him a lot of slack on that (but at least BRENDON, when also new at this, comes into V&V with an admirable honesty and a specific POV. They aren't RYAN'S lyrics, but there is something singular and special there). But mostly I'm just wondering if there is an actual audience out there right now for the sort of music he's making, because my closest association is Jefferson Starship's "We Built This City", and that's sort of considered to be the WORST SUCESSFUL SONG EVER?

But then, y, GENIUS, and you have to give them room to do exactly what they want to do sometimes and make their own truimphs and mistakes.

(why did PATRICK just become a bandom variation of early era Rodney McKay in my mind? I DO think he needs a John Sheppard - which would be Pete here? - who is RECKLESS and RIDICULOUS, but who challenges him and channels his skills to reach the best outcome)
