Actually Finished:
So, once upon a time, I decided to knit sol_se a Merlin inspired scarf, perhaps for Christmas. So I found a dragon-y pattern, dug the yarn out of the stash, and started knitting. And knitting. AND knitting (turns out, lace + smallish needles + light DK weight yarn + nearly 8 and a half feet of scarf = takes a long time to knit. Who knew?)
And so I finally got around to sending it to her (for spring? IDK.) Therefor, I can show the pictures to y'all as well.

Things I loved - I've had this strange yarn for YEARS - picked it up in a tiny store back in Tucson over 4 years ago, and it didn't work for anything. Too complex with the shifting color variations for any lace or cable work, too small and odd for anything simple. But it SO worked here - the pattern's got a bias, and that looked cool (in a slashy dragon rainbow way.)
Things I didn't love - Pattern's got a LOT of curl. I blocked it like crazy, and it's still a bit spinny. Perhaps the ability to knit with wool yarn might improve this?
And the whole thing was very intuitive and sort of fun - I might splurge on some Alchemy Yarns Silk Mohair and do one for me, eventually.
Totally perplexing to me:
Gmail is trying to sell me Personalized Romance Novels! . Erm...
You know you've ALWAYS wanted to drop $50 to have a computer find/replace you into a mediocre Mary Sue pirate porn novel.
I assume this would make an amazingly embarrassing gift at a bachelorette party? Or good for stalkers...
(I always though this is what we had fanfiction.net for?)
Coming Down to the Deadline:
Sweet Charity ! Due to the perplexing nature of time, I am not quite certain when this thing is going to be concluded, but I do know that it is sometime in the next 24 hours!
