Its official. I hate middle schoolers! I took a 4 day job subbing for my 6th grade choir teacher. She works here at Clarke Middle. I havent subbed middle school in 2 years. The last time I did it I did it here at Clarke and when I came back yesterday I remembered why I stuck to high school.
These little bastards have no respect for authority. I swear I felt like grabbing a few and strangling them yesterday. The teacher didnt leave any lesson plans for today so I had to wing it. That wasn't as easy as I thought. They finished the damn assignment in like 10 min. So I told them just to work on stuff from their other classes. That didnt work either. Todays kids werent as bad as yesterdays but they werent that much better.
I cant wait until 3:15 on Thursday when I can kiss this job goodbye.
I was requested to sub at Montwood on Friday so that makes me happy. I've done that class before and the kids are pretty cool so I know its gonna be a pretty easy day. Not to mention I wont have kids running around hitting eachother and calling eachother "stupidheads".
I cant believe that these kids act the way they do at this grade. I mean they're on their way to high school and they act like they're barely gonna be in 5th grade.
The way I remember middle school was that we were all really mature. Well at least I was...Some of the guys were still little assholes. But for the most part everyone was really cool. Yeah we'd clown around but we were always cool with our subs and teachers. I also remember us being a lot bigger than the kids now.
I think the kids are getting smaller and smaller by the year. Even high school kids dont look like they're high school kids. Its weird.

I fessed up about my crush on Niquie to Becky and Lorraine. Later on that night when we went out to dinner Lorraine kept making little jokes about it. I hope she dont let anything slip in class. On Sunday she called Liz "Lizbo". We made up that name during one of our study groups when I brought up that I thought she was a little dykey when we first met. Anyhoo, I dont think Liz heard her. I just hope she dont let my crush slip.
Incidentally, We only have one official class left and then we graduate and its on to internship. I'm excited. I'm actually having a graduation after high school. Maybe this will get my mom off my back.
Speaking of internship, You all should really call and make an appointment with me for a massage. Its only $25 for an hour and a half. I've seen all these advertisements for $25/45 min. massages. I think those are a crock. You really dont get much out of 45 min. Thats you're basic quickie. I mean say you go in and you want the therapist to work on your lower back for a while cuz it's sore. Well they'll work it but then they might not get to the rest of your body. Most people think that massaging the spot that is sore is good enough. It's not. You need to do the surrounding areas too and most of the time they'll leave that out. So you should really call me and make an appointment. I'm good. Just ask anyone in my class.
