Spoilerfree for everything, and wishing to remain so, still.
Cut due to blathery reaction. Not much thinky.
Okay, confess, whose fanfics have Kripke and co. been reading? :D
Just.... *flails*
Good gods, but this Show's awesome! So very, very awesome! It's like the best of Season Two all over again! Boys! BOYS! *HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
I'm glad where I am with the Show, now. It's back to the simple pleasure of watching it, giggling and snickering and just plain enjoying the Show, without looking at the details closely enough to ruin it. Sure, there are meta-y thoughts, and call-outs and all that, but now that doesn't get in the way of things. I'm still a spoilerphobe, but now it's more for the same reason I was spoilerphobic with Potters: so that I'd have a good enough reason to stick to the end. The difference is, I'm enjoying the hell out of Supernatural. It's awesome.
First of all, the very first thing in this ep that also began last ep (after 'Then'-part), the most blatant clue ever in the Show's history that something funny would happen... Red, Yellow, Blue. Free To Be You And Me with the lights of Sam's motel, The End with the lights of Dean's choice for napping.
I feel like these two eps mirror each other: 5x03 was Sam-ep, 5x04's Dean-ep, even though Dean was present in much more of Sam's ep than vice versa. 5x03 was revelations for Sam, 5x04 was revelations for Dean.
Still loving Boss Smiley Zachariah: he's awesome in his clean ruthlessness. Creepy as hell, but awesome, too.
2014 and me ever so slightly freaking out due to the combined effects of Dark Angel and doomsday prophecies and cyberpunk. And Dean and future!Dean and good gods, this SHOW! The editing! JACK!!! MISHA!
In fact, I don't think I've ever loved Castiel for something other than his voice as much as after this ep. Seriously, it's all glitter and sparkles around here! CHUCK!
And of course, 'President Palin' and what she did got a laugh out of me, too.
And Lucifer!Sam. Just... what can I say?
All I know is that for a week, ever since I thought a bit about 5x03, I've been plagued by a scene/snippet/line/whatever-the-heck-ever that refuses to grow. And ever since Zachariach zapped Dean into the future, ever since Dean told Sam getting back together wouldn't be a good idea, that thing got stuck on repeat in my head.
It's Sam, and Dean, reaching out and being refused, being told that it's too much, that it's not enough, that Michael's coming.... Then I'll have nothing to lose. Enter Lucifer, exit Sam.
"We had an appointment."
\o/
And guys! That place with the final scene? It's the same place where Dean and Sam parted ways with John in Salvation (1x21) *FLAILS* And again with the weapon exchanging and Dean being hesitant to give it! \o/
Compare and meta, yes? *heeeeeee*
Croatoan and yeah, they didn't explain any of those nagging questions, but who cares? We got so much fun and games and all that jazz to make me, at least, very, very happy. :)
Just like practically the whole damn episode. Gods, but these guys are gooooooooooood.
I bet I'm forgetting things, but meh. Can't brain. Too high.
*scampers off to bed*
Tomorrow, I shall Take Over the World! see what everyone else thought about this ep. Night, loves. *blows kisses*
