Jensen Ackles is just simply unbelievable... and all the differences between the two Deans, even though they were both Dean...*swoons*
More of this, Kripke and co., pretty please? I might have to revise my opinion about who's better evil...Sam or Dean. It's gotta be the black eyes. Their inky depths that don't betray anything. Someone's gotta give these men an award for being the Most Awesome Actors Ever. And that very, very end...
It was, without a doubt, the crowning glory of this episode. Which, imo, is one of the best episodes of Season Three, hands down. And thus went immediately near the top of the list of Must See-episodes. Because there's the brotherly jabs, the love, the angst, the action, the mytharc, the deal...everything. And Sam going down on a woman in his dream... \o/
I've changed my opinion about BED!Dean. Methinks those large, wide eyes and, y'know, the implications made me momentarily mad and thus I thought it wasn't delightful. But that very, very end... *SMISH*
I may have indulged in some similar foolish ideas. But have been holding up hope as I find traditionally the show hits its stride around Ep 9 & 10 and IT HAS NOT FAILED ME!!
It owns me as completely as it seems to own you. *hugs show tight*
Hmm... well, yeah... Home (1x09) is definitely one my most favourite episodes from S1... and Hunted (2x10) was pure delight in S2... and now Dream A Little Dream of Me...
Your idea's good. Must remember it in the future, or whenever I dare doubt The Show... *smishes the show*
I really enjoyed this episode, too! Jim Beaver really is a talented actor; I'm glad this episode let him show more of his abilities (scared Bobby!). Now if only Bobby would get to hunt IN ACTION (as in wield a gun and shoot at things) with the boys, I'd be in heaven. Yay, Bobby! *manic smiley faces*
The visual elements in this episode were amazing, the camera work especially. The other "green" episode that immediately comes to mind is "Asylum". Any parallels there? But this episode also had a lot of blue, too.
Though they're really driving the point home about the crucifixion-thing, aren't they?
Yeah. Head meet anvil. *bonk*
At the moment, though, I think the song "Dream A Little Dream of Me" was meant to 'fit' Bobby.
*nods* It's too bad they Aerosmith's "Dream On" wasn't featured. It's such a perfect song for the boys; the lyrics are so fitting.
Any ideas on how the two peacocks stand for the brothers?
Heh. How about some thoughts in the flavor of hugemind's flamingo crack!meta? :) Come on, the boys being equated to a

Bobby is an awesome character, and quite likely the fan-favourite out of people that aren't Winchesters. :) Well, we did have him carrying a shotgun and running at the end of All Hell Breaks Loose, Part I... but that man doesn't exactly strike me as a hunter similar to John and the Boys, simply because he has a house, he's 'settled'. Like Jim.
Asylum was green, yeah. And both of these fucked with the boys' heads. ;) Don't forget about Faith, love. There was a notable wealth of green in that, too. :)
So if the peacocks stand for the boys, would Sam be represented by the white, since it's a freak of nature, and he's supposed to be a messiah? And Dean's the more common peacock, strutting his stuff and charming the ladies?

One of my favoritest eva episodes! Dean with messy hair and wearing his hoodie and Sam being all touchy and determined yet distraught (and tossing his phone aside to bite his fingernails). Gah. *flail*

and tossing his phone aside to bite his fingernails Weirdly enough, that's my favourite scene in that ep. *adores it*
But Sam is a freak of nature! Or at least the show would love to assure us of that... ;)
*stares* I think I love you right now. Because that explains it all. But who would be the half-white/half-normal peacock? And you've also single-handedly answered the question of "what is it about Mary?" \o/
