cue the pulse to begin
Phew.
Dear lord in high heaven- I have just finished a marathon watching of Season four of 'Queer as Folk.' I started on Friday afternoon and just turned off the finale. Note to self, however: never buy foreign DVDs again. They apparently have a tendency to be crap and act like they're completely scratched up when all is well- I struggled through missing the last ten minutes of ep. 2, but when we're talking the last few minutes of the last episode.... Fear my wrath, region-free DVDs. Luckily, the last disc plays without a hitch on my laptop (although the first disc doesn't even register as having data on it....), so all is well. I remain largely unspoiled for Season 5, so I must await the release of the box set like an upstanding citizen.
*SIGHS*
*yawns* I used AfterEllen.com recaps when the disc malfunctioned, and I have become filled with righteous frustration regarding the extreme underusage of Mel and Linds. Grr. Much as I love my boys, you gotta show my girls some respect. The Sam/Lindsay storyline was grossly mishandled, and that's all I'm gonna say. ;)
I missed watching QAF with my own girls, however- it's never quite the same without y'all.
I also made a rather enjoyable pizza with onions, roma tomatoes, portobello mushrooms and tasty Paul Newman sauce (HELLS YEAH). Hopefully, it's tastiness will comfort me, as last night's attempt to cook meat failed dismally, even with the help of Alton's cookbook. :( For now, it's time to collapse into bed and try my best to get the catchy new themetune out of my head. ;)
