Guess who I saw speak on Monday night?

OH, JUST THE PIRATE KING OF MY HEART, THAT IS ALL.
The theatre I interned at is having a big anniversary this season and as part of the celebrations, is hosting a series of Conversations with classical actors, hosted by the artistic director. Patrick Stewart opened the series and James Earl Jones is up next in January, with some similarly big names in talks for the final spot (I got the dish from my old boss after the event). Kline was charming and spoke in sonorous tones and I was WELL PLEASED. I got to hug Old Boss and feel like I was missed, and also got to gossip about DC theatre with Elissa after the show, so it was overall a satisfying night. :)
I had spent all afternoon getting psyched and sending questions in for the Q&A section via Twitter. Of course, the primary question on my mind was phrased as such:
Dear Kevin Kline, will you be my best friend? #AskKevinKline #pleasepickme #genuinequestion #wellmostlygenuine
I have no shame. Luckily, Old Boss confided that it made my old coworkers giggle, so I consider it a win. :)
In OTHER news of winning, I'm singing at the Kennedy Center Honors this year for Barbara Cook and I am THIS EXCITED. I love being a part of the Honors and star watching and celebrating awesome people in the arts. Also, we're singing with Audra McDonald, which, YEAH. *___* LOVE HER. So this weekend will be crazy and busy and awesome, which is just how I like it. :D
ETA: ALSO. I found this on tumblr and every time I see it, I start chortling in remembrance, which makes me think it should continue to be shared.
