Just ducking in quickly to say that for those interested, I have uploaded two more Xena videos, which I have placed here.
(this one looks a bit crap now, because Youtube takes awhile to display things at the right resolution, but it'll improve)
Today, I took Steve into the shop to have a blinker light replaced. Why yes, I AM that ignorant of how to maintain my car! Whatever, it's worth it not to have the fear that I'll destroy some crucial part of my vehicle by accident. I have also been trying to pin down my schedule for the next week, which is to be my last before starting up my internship. This mostly requires lots of emails to friends demanding face time, particularly with people I haven't seen in weeks or months.
I've also started to read The Lunatic, the Lover, and the Poet, which is that lovely phenomenon of publishing, the Shakespeare-related fiction. I've read so very many of these over the years (and flirted briefly with the idea of basing my undergrad thesis on them), but this one is easily taking the prize for the Author Least Likely to Let a Page Slip by without Including a Shakespearean Injoke. So far, I am rolling my eyes but also feeling clever for knowing the references, but we'll see how I feel in two hundred pages.
And OH GOOD LORD I just noticed that gmail changed its look. AGAIN. Gmail, why you gotta be that way? This will take some processing, but it shan't be now, for I am off to watch more S3 Doctor Who with the Js- there was much merriment had at the expense of 'The Shakespeare Code' on Sunday, but it's all good fun and we continue to work on refining our own Doctor Who Drinking Game (drink when the Doctor gets emo! when the Doctor fetishizes humans! when the Doctor mocks humans!). My favorite addition was made in the midst of a four episode night in S2: the entry just reads "stupid Rose" and applies to just about anything Rose does in S2, tragically.
