and in the daylight we can hitchhike to maine

I gave myself a HUGE break from my thesis, but I am now trying to dive back in, despite not hearing a word back from Prof Big Cheese. Even without his input, though, I know there's a lot I can do with it- bob help me, I never actually proofread its 103 pages, so THAT'S a good first step. Tonight, I am going out with some friends, so I have a good couple of hours to sift through it all and see what else I know needs to be done. I just... need to do it.

I keep being thwarted in many of my plans lately- I tried to bring Steve into the shop on Friday, but when I got there, it turned out that it was the sort of shop that needed an appointment. I tried to do laundry today, but when I checked to see the balance on my card (STUPID CARD OPERATED LAUNDRY I HATE YOU DIAF), I only had 50 cents and no cash to top it up, so THAT won't be happening. I did manage to do my taxes yesterday, but I have also discovered that Ferdinand's built-in mic makes recording with my headset TRICKY, so an hour of reading out a draft of a project yesterday was WASTED. BAH HUMBUG.

We are ALSO entering a CRAZY PHASE, known as Sister's Due Date Is Today, So from Now On, Any Day Might be Baby Day! It's very strange to be making plans that might or might not be canceled- I can only imagine how Sister and Hayden are feeling about the whole thing. The lucky part for me is that the university is now on Spring Break, which means I can be ready to spring into Aunt Mode at the drop of a hat and not worry about classes or finding someone to cover for me in Intro. It would have been nice to have this week to travel and visit friends, but I am pretty sure that New Nephews trump this sort of thing. ;)

RIGHT.

THESIS.

DOING THAT NOW.

maybe.
