Seven Things!
- I took Steve in for an oil change to my regular shop. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have been there before, I've had to wait at least an hour before they take him around to the back- today, I was in and out in 30 minutes. Sweet!
- I used the extra time to cultivate my powers of crass materialism. I bought adorable tweed ballet flats from Payless (and tried on several pairs from Christian Siriano's collection- all highly impractical, but how can I be expected to pass the opportunity by?), and a cute lunch bag and some shelving cubes from Target. OH, STUDENT LOAN, I LOVE YOU.
- Last night, balefully and I watched episodes of 'The Dean Forester Show', a most excellent program favored by all those with sensible taste. I am happy to report that Dean wears a construction hat with PANACHE, and also that he TAKES NOTES OF FUN TOPICS TO DISCUSS WITH RORY GILMORE AFTER SHE DRUNK DIALS HIM BECAUSE HE IS DEAN.
- My SPN DVDs came in the mail- I went for Amazon because I am too lazy to track down cool extras and lenticuwhatsit packaging. Fo and I already watched 'Lazarus Rising' on Tuesday night, and we plan to watch more tonight. frenchie824, we discussed at length how you are so sorely missed. :(
- After all of my woe-is-me-ing in regards to my CCS reaudition this summer, I apparently acquitted myself better than I'd feared- not only am I still in the group, I was accepted into the chamber ensemble they're forming this year as well. I am not entirely sure what the purpose of this ensemble is, or what exactly we will be doing, but I raise my arms in victory nevertheless. \o/
- It occurred to me this morning that I have homework again. For Tuesday, I will be reading a heap of Plato and possibly more? (yes- have checked- will be reading a hunk from Mimesis as well) This saddens me deeply. I've been racing through a number of fluffy books while I still have the opportunity, and it seems that that glorious period must now come to an end. Woe.
- I am looking forward to being able to hang this on my wall with great anticipation.
- I AM HUNGRY. (sorry- were you expecting something more exciting? TOO BAD, BECAUSE I AM HUNGRY.)
