dedicated to the one i love
So I spent today watching Gilmore Girls with balefully and like... MOANING IN UNHAPPINESS over some of the news from the Asylum con. But we have consoled ourselves with steadfastly polishing our tinhats and finding the strength to go on, cockapoos and the like BE DAMNED.
So instead, I want to treat you all to a picspam of my most recent obsession- Jade, from Britain's Next Top Model.
I think she's STUPIDLY gorgeous and she comes across on the show as an incredibly sweet and humble person who's quite gobsmacked by praise and success and getting to do what she's always wanted. She got quite a bit of press early on because she was actually admitted to the hospital for an eating disorder just before starting the show, but from what we've seen so far on the show, she's got her head in the right place and is working hard on being healthy, which is quite positive to witness.
She first made an impact in the third episode, which, well. Was also the GIRL KISSING photo shoot, as well as the makeover episode. First, I loved the way she presented herself in the photobooth- she clearly doesn't mind looking dorky and silly.
But then she pulls out THIS and just. YEAH. Her hair was dyed dark and it was STUNNING, but here she is, just glancing off to the side and looking more beautiful than anyone has a right to do. I was done, done like pie.
And if that weren't enough, when they got to the photoshoot, she was one of only a few of the girls who was just, Yeah. Fine- I can kiss girls! NO PROBLEMO! A lot of the others were actually quite awful about it, saying pretty terrible things that I was rather shocked to hear. BUT. Jade was awesome- sadly, her photos didn't turn out so awesomely and they didn't show ENOUGH GIRL KISSING, probably bc she and her partner were so drama-free. Ah, reality TV.
I love Jade because
1) She has a collection of terrible, enormous scarves and JUST KEEPS WEARING THEM.
2) THE GLASSES. YES PLEASE. She wears them mostly when she's actually out doing things- takes them off for photoshoots or interviews when they would have more of a glare, I imagine. So you have to be quick with the screencap button, which, alas, I am not, so my pictures are mostly the ones above and this one.
3) She is ADORABLE. She scrunches in on herself a lot and makes fabulous FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACES ALL. THE. TIME.
4) And her concerned face makes me WIBBLE.
5) But I also just think she's STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. Her pale skin and dark hair. Her eyes and her MOUTH. DKFJLKSDJFSLAJJ. She's gorgeous when she's hanging around in her sweats, but then when she's made up and in front of a camera? MAGIC.
In conclusion, I LOVE HER. *happy, happy sigh*
