So, our dinner conversation of last weekend focused on the relative hotness of the members of the Greek pantheon. As we attempted to define what we meant by 'hot' in the first place, we came to realize that overt sexuality was no automatic measurement of hotness, since we all gave Aphrodite the thumbs down.
But sometimes? IT REALLY KIND OF WORKS.

Of course, you know what ELSE is hot? Extremely talented men singing and dancing as frakked-up characters in Sondheim musicals who can also do Shakespeare when they feel like it. Case in point: Adrian Lester in the Donmar Company. This interpretation is even darker than I'm used to, but DAMN- in my opinion, Lester

It's SUCH a different way to play the scene than in Sam Mendes' production, but I love it. God, his FACE in that moment with the kazoo- that tiny bit of business sums up the whole character.
